Roche Accu-Chek Guide Blood Glucose Meter
The Accu-Chek Guide blood glucose meter offers surprisingly smart solutions that make measuring blood glucose easier. The SmartPack packaging is designed to reduce test strip waste and makes it easier to take only one test strip at a time. In addition, an illuminated test strip port, test strip with wide application zone and strip ejector button ensure less hassle in everyday measurement.
Use
Wash hands with warm water and soap and dry thoroughly. Check the expiration date on the test strip vial. Do not use expired test strips. Push the test strip upwards, apply a little pressure with your thumb and remove the test strip from the bottle. Then carefully close the lid. Insert the test strip into the meter in the direction of the arrow. The meter starts automatically. A blinking drop symbol will appear on the screen. Now perform a finger prick. Touch the yellow application area of the test strip to the drop of blood. Remove your finger from the test strip when the flashing hourglass symbol appears on the screen. Do not apply blood to the top of the test strip. The blood glucose result will appear on the screen after approximately 4 seconds. If you wish to add a marker to this value, press the OK button. Press the button on the side of the meter to remove the test strip. Press the OK button for 3 seconds to turn the meter off or wait 15 seconds and the meter will turn off automatically.
