L-Mesitran wound ointment is an antibacterial ointment, has a wound cleaning effect and optimizes wound healing. As soon as the wound ointment comes into contact with the wound, Mesitran extracts the wound fluid from the wound and from the surrounding tissues. This creates a wound healing climate and stimulates the wound healing process.

Due to the strong osmotic effect, L-Mesitran has an antimicrobial effect. The wound ointment dilutes gradually and can be easily removed with a wound cleanser. L-Mesitran can be covered with most occlusive wound dressings. The honey ointment may contain sugar crystals, but this does not affect the effectiveness and/or application of the wound ointment. Because the wound ointment is made from natural products, the color of the ointment may differ slightly (white-yellow-brown).

Use it with:

Chronic wounds - pressure ulcers (stage I - IV)
Ulcus cruris
Oncological wounds (deodorize and debride)
Contaminated acute wounds - surgical wounds (postoperative wounds)
Traumatic wounds (abrasions, cuts)
minor burns and laser wounds (1st and 2nd degree).
